Description
Realistic Illustrator vector atwork for scalable content creation.
Context
The Instax mini Evo is an instant-to-print film camera by Fujifilm. It draws on the nostalgia of the Polaroid camera and the fun of image filters to create beautiful handheld memories instantly. This project focused on creating a series of realistic vector artworks that can be utilized for various ad campaigns, brand applications, websites, and other media.
Challenge
A realistic product demo was needed generated as a vector illustration, rather than raster, in order for it to be scaled to any size media, from a web page to a large billboard, with out loss in quality. Since Instax mini Evo comes in two versions, black leather and brown leather, two variations would have to be crafted. Finally, any advertisement would also feature the instant film, requiring those to be reproduced as vector artwork.
Process
Outlines were carefully measured and created to form the base shapes and layers for the camera. Color was filled in utilizing linear and freeform gradients to render shadows and shine. Layers of noise and texture patterns helped mimic plastic and leather textures. Logos were redesigned and typed in identical font styles.

Solution
Vector layers were meticulously constructed in Illustrator to generate a realistic representation of the cameras, allowing the assets to be scaled to any size with out loosing product detail.
The artwork was further expanded into a campaign to promote the camera across various media, from poster to websites. In order to provide representations of the instant film, Illustrator was again used to create film printouts that could be customized in Photoshop with whatever examples would match the campaign's audience and demographics.

With the creation of scalable vector artwork, we are able to quickly generate a variety of campaign material. For websites, various components of the artwork can be separated to help interactive create diagrams. Whatever the size or occasion, the artwork maintains quality and appeal.
